The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), in cooperation with the Association for Information Society (SPIS), held conference Prague Innovation Forum, at the Mariott Hotel Prague, on Thursday 29 January 2009. Guests were welcomed by the minister of the Czech government Pavel Svoboda, who reminded that competitive advantage of the European economies is one of the priorities of Czech EU presidency.

Event named „Office of the 21st Century“ has been held from 21st to 22nd of October in Prague's O2 arena. Its visitors, experts both from government and private institutions had the opportunity to test the modern software tools and office equipment.

III. National meeting of chief magistrates, mayors and region governors took place in Prague´s hotel Olympik Artemis. More than 250 mayors, city managers, 50 CEOs and top managers, ambassadors and other important guests came to discuss actual topics of the public sector. The Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic Ivan Langer came to support the action as well.

The GORDIC^® company joined the IBM PartnerWorld program and became IBM Business partner. The programme includes support in the area of development, technics and marketing. In case of the GORDIC^® company, it is focused on services related with IBM Informix platform, which some significant GORDIC^® clients use (The Ministry of Defence, The Ministry of Interior, Prague Council, etc.)

Winners of the 2007 Zlatý středník awards were announced on Thursday, April 10th in Prague´s theatre Archa. At eleven caregories, there was registered record number of company magazines, printed publications and electronic presentations. GORDIC´s bulletin Gorinfo intended users of information systems in public sector was awarded by Certificate of professional level „RATED" in branch „Best B2B magazine“.
